Individual Counselling & Psychotherapy

My practice is grounded in dismantling structural violence within and outside of the mental health system as a neurodivergent, queer woman of colour. As your therapist, my role is to first and foremost meet you as a human being, recognizing that our individual struggles are bound together with collective struggles for liberation and healing.

Before starting my own practice, I worked in a variety of community settings supporting survivors of abuse and neglect in transforming trauma and reclaiming experiences of otherness. My approach is strengths-based and neurodiversity-affirming, and I am committed to upholding safety in our sessions through an anti-oppressive, decolonizing, and trauma-informed practice.

Therapy is a collaborative process that we get to create together. You are always welcome to bring in any dreams, artwork, writing, music, or other creative parts of yourself to invigorate our work. Learn more about the therapeutic approaches I use here.

I offer a free 30-minute consult where we can discuss your needs and get a sense of whether we might be a good fit.

Appointment type

Options: Online video, phone, and walk-and-talk
Duration: 60 minutes/session
Online video sessions are offered via a secured platform (Jane). Please note that I am primarily seeing clients living in Ontario at this time. Please email me if you are living in a different province or country.

Walk-and-talk therapy: We’ll choose a spot to meet up in-person and begin our walk together at Cedarvale Park, Toronto (York), ON.

What is walk-and-talk therapy?

Walk-and-talk therapy is like regular talk therapy only outdoors, with the added benefits of movement, exercise, fresh air, and being with nature. Research shows that walking or spending time in nature can boost mental health, and walking therapy can reduce stress and promote well-being in trauma survivors. Going on a walk can also make it easier to concentrate and process your feelings while allowing for safe, in-person connection.

Please contact me for details and we can discuss whether this is the right option for you.

Fees

Online video, phone, & walk-and-talk therapy: $150 + 13% HST
